Germany’s oldest Independent Label was founded in Munich in 1971. Over the years it has become renowned worldwide for an outstanding catalogue of exceptional music ranging from Soul and Singer/Songwriters to country music and Bavarian folk music.
‘No art is more expressive, successful and potentially democratic than popular music. In no other type of art can people express themselves more intensively and directly. Nowhere else is our emotional intelligence more at home. Ever since TRIKONT’s early years we have been following this tenet and a lot of diverse music has thus been produced at our offices in Obergiesing, Munich. Creations of artists that have successfully maintained their ideosynchronies as well as many compilations which restitute local and global pop music some of its passion, dignity and passion. Trikont has always remained faithful to its founding principles but at the same time we have repeatedly reinvented ourselves to face the changes of time. As in the early days, more than 30 years ago, we remain committed to our freedom to live our ideas, but also to our freedom to say no whenever we do not want to do something’.
